It's that time of year again! Once again we are offering regular memberships for a mere $45 ($65 for a household of two or more members at the same address). However, almost all of this is forwarded to the state and national Leagues, so
we hope you will consider becoming a sustaining member for $75 ($95/household.) Reduced rate memberships are available for individuals who are unable to pay the full amount but who are interested in becoming active members of the League. Send inquiries to the membership chair. All members receive all membership benefits.
General Information
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political
organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens
in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy
issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The League of Women Voters has two separate and distinct roles:
- Voter Service and Citizen Education
We present unbiased nonpartisan information about elections, the
voting process, and issues.
- Action/Advocacy We are nonpartisan
but, after study, we use our positions to advocate for or against
particular policies in the public interest.
Who's In Charge?, with contact information for federal, state and
local elected officials as well as for Los Alamos County services and schools, is now available on line from the
Voter Information page.
