Important Dates

Saturday, September 22, 2018
- First Day to Mail Ballots to Federal Qualified Electors (FQE) and Federal Overseas Citizen Voter (FOCV) Voters That Have Requested By This Date;

Tuesday, October 9, 2018
- Absentee Voting (Early Voting) Begins: LAC Municipal Building -- voting hours 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 20 through Saturday, November 3, 2018
- Absentee Voting (Early Voting) at Additional Locations Open, White Rock Town Hall and LAC Municipal Building -- -- voting hours for both locations 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Friday, November 2, 2018
- Last day County Clerks may mail an absentee ballot (Absentee ballots shall be sent to applicants not later than on the Friday immediately prior to the date of the election) NOTE: Completed ballots are physically due back to the County Clerk by 7:00 p.m

Saturday, November 3, 2018
- Last day to vote early! Voting Hours at White Rock Town Hall and LAC Municipal Building: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, November 4 and Monday, November 5, 2018
- Voting is CLOSED

Tuesday, November 6, 2018, General Election Day
- Vote Center Locations, which are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- White Rock Town Hall
- LAC Municipal Building
- Betty Ehart Senior Center
- LAC Golf Course Community Building
Completed absentee ballots are physically due back to the County Clerk by 7:00 p.m.

Register to Vote

Voter registration is open until 28 days before an election. Changes in registration (name, address, party affiliation) are accepted during the same periods.

Mail - You may also call the County Clerk's office at 505-662-8010 to have a registration application form mailed to you. Find more information about registration and voting at Los Alamos County Clerk page.

Another helpful website is Vote.Org. Find out if you are registered to vote, if not you can register, and find out information about voting in your area.

If you have any problems with registration or voting, the Los Alamos County Clerk's office (505-662-8010) will work diligently to help you. If they are unable to resolve your problem, call 866-OUR-VOTE and leave a message.
